It’s best to go barefoot..
Although this is probably comfortable for most, this is a MYTH! I know, bummer. But when you think about it, walking around barefoot means those lovely feet are being exposed to what may be on the ground. That is one way to contact fungus, and another way to cause dry, cracking and scaly skin. So whatever you do, make sure you are protecting those feet!! Whether it is wearing house slippers inside, tennis shoes outside or water shoes in the lake or pool.
Shoes cause bunions..
This is a MYTH. Although narrow shoes, toe boxed shoes, or lack of support can make a bunion worse this is not the cause of a bunion. A bunion is a structural deformity caused by an unstable joint.
Foot problems are a natural part of the aging process.
Many people think that foot problems are an inevitable part of growing older, but that’s not always the case. Often the culprit for foot problems is years of accumulated damage from improper shoe gear or not addressing abnormal foot structure or mechanics.

MYTHH! Any time a broken bone occurs, it’s important to seek medical attention. A doctor can perform diagnostic X-rays to identify the severity of the break, properly treat the break whether it be non-surgical or surgical treatment, along with identifying any recommendations to prevent future injury. By not seeking medical treatment for something as simple as a broken toe, you risk long term damage or discomfort.
